FAIRP Employers’ Association Presented at IFR General Assembly in Detroit

The IFR General Assembly took place at the Automate trade show in Detroit. IFR President Marina Bill presented preliminary figures outlining the global and American robotics market for 2022. This was a prelude to the World Robotics 2023 report which will be published in the fall as usual. The early data indicates a 2% increase in global robot installations and a 13% growth in the U.S. market.

The assembly also provided an opportunity to introduce FAiRP as the official representative of IFR in Poland and engage in a plenary discussion on the current state and future of robotics. The dynamic advancements in robotics across all industries, not limited to the automotive sector, were emphasized. Simultaneously, attention was drawn to the issue of the growing shortage of qualified personnel capable of preparing and running robotic applications. Among IFR’s objectives for 2022-2023 is the promotion of robotics among SMEs. This shows that the challenge of robotization in small and medium-sized companies extends beyond Poland.

How can this goal be accomplished? One of the most notable concepts presented was an ongoing project in Spain that offers subsidies for SMEs for their initial robot purchases.

Perhaps this serves as a valuable suggestion for the “subsidy providers” to enhance the rate of robotization in Poland?
